I have two cards to share tonight, the first for a Shopping Our Stash challenge and the second for this week's OWH Midweek Throwdown.

But first, a quick reminder that Monday is the deadline for entering this month's Words 2 Scrap By challenge. There are some Tim Holtz Parisian-inspired goodies up for grabs in keeping with this month's Oh La La theme.
Card #1: A Colorful Rainbow
The current Shopping Our Stash challenge is to make a project featuring something that you can't put down or put away. The card below features a couple of things I can't get enough of -- a few old friends and one new acquisition: Distress Inks and the new Work of Art Stampin' Up! stamps.
stash blue and black cardstock Distress Inks blended with Ranger water brush Inkadinkado kid quotes stamp in StazOn jet black Paper Studio brads
Recollections white cardstock; stash black cardstock Distress Inks blended with Ranger water brush Inkadinkado kid quotes stamp in StazOn jet black
SU work of art stamp set Unity sentiment
Tip of the Day: I'm always having trouble with stamps falling off my acrylic blocks. Well, tonight after having the same stamp fall off about 5 times, I tried putting a small strip of Scotch ATG tape on my acrylic block... and it worked!!! Hooray!!!!
Card #2: Stars, Stars and More Stars
The card below is inspired by OWH's current Midweek Throwdown challenge to make an Any Hero card featuring stars.
Paula's Design Boot Camp lesson about the 60-30-10 rule played a big role in this card. The exterior frame was added when I felt the card needed a little more interest. So, I decided to add a little more white -- going for 30% white. An added benefit is the white frame seems to pull your eye to the circle around the focal point star. :)
Parting Thoughts
Again, we would love for you to join us over at Words 2 Scrap By. :)
Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!
