An Atypical Any Hero Card

Hi everyone!

Today's Any Hero card is atypical for me -- in Earth tones rather than my usual red, white, and blue palette. As with most Any Hero cards, the card below is inspired by this week's OWH Sketch.   :)

Distress Ink core paper and Bazzill cardstock (darkest brown)
Paper Smooches ribbon
Darice and Cuttlebug embossing folders
adhesives: Ranger Multi Medium, Zots 3D glue dots

Parting Thoughts

Looking forward to a fun week.
  • Our July W2SB goes live at midnight EST on July 1. Hope everyone will join us for a festive challenge.  :)
  • The OWH VCMP starts at 8:00 EST on Friday.
  • And, this is a 4-day work week!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. We're having "the dads" out for dinner. Should make for a really nice day.  :)

Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!

  1. Oooh, I really like the earth tones. And such great texture with the embossing. I love the addition of the ribbon. Great job!

  2. Love all the embossed stars on this card!

  3. Great use of stars and colors. It looks antique, which is a great look with stars. This could easily be a Hero card!

  4. Love the earth tone colors and all the texture from the cardstock and embossing. The photo corners are the perfect touch. I might have to CASE this one.

  5. I love the distressed embossed panels - this is a wonderful Any Hero Card. I have lots of white core cardstock and I think I am going to follow your example to make some Any Hero Cards. Your card has such a great rustic look - love it!

  6. I like anything that has stars on it, so this one looks fantastic with the variety of embossed stars! It will make a great hero card, for sure!
Thanks for the congrats on the NBUS too - no one is more surprised than me :)

  7. Your color coordinating talents go well beyond r w b palate! Love the extra corner tabs and the sanded embossing is the perfect touch! TFS!

  8. Great colorway! Nice job!!!
